Alberschwende | Brüggele - Kaltenbrunnen
Alberschwende - Tannen - Brüggele - Kaltenbrunnen - Vöglen - Alberschwende
This scenic tour is also very suitable for beginners. From the centre of the village, the path takes you to Tannen, home of the founder of SOS children’s villages Hermann Gmeiner (1919-1986). On the trip towards Tannerberg, stop off at a viewing platform for a stunning view across the Vorderwald and the Allgäu Alps. The trip continues uphill to the Brüggele. Here, you get a view of the Bregenzerwald mountains and Switzerland.
Tip: cycle to the Brüggelekopf cross where you stop off for refreshments and enjoy a lovely view across to Lake Constance. The path into the valley takes you to Kaltenbrunnen, across Vöglen, past several mountain pasture huts as far as Alberschwende.
